For over fifty years, Pacific Sheet Metal & Roofing has offered high quality roofing solutions to Northwest commercial, industrial, and public properties. We provide a full range of installation and re-roofing services including a variety of materials and brands.
We are bonded and insured, and a member of Roofers Local 54.
For any roof near the end of its lifespan, we provide both re-roofing and re-cover services. For a re-roof, we remove the original roof and replace it with brand new construction. A re-cover involves installing new construction over an existing roof.
Our waterproofing service adds essential protection against the elements. A properly sealed roof effectively prevents passage of water into the internal structure, protecting your assets inside as well as preventing damage to the building structure itself.
Our available materials include shingles, roll goods in standard asphalt, and a variety of other types. We can help you analyze the best fit for your budget and installation requirements. We also fabricate our own custom sheet metal flashing.
Regularly maintaining your roof's components is essential to the longevity of the roof. The roof is constantly exposed to the elements and normal inspections can eliminate or reduce chemical and physical stresses. Without normal maintenance these stresses can shorten a roof's life and 75% of roof failure is due to lack of maintenance.
Built-Up Roofs are multiple layers of roof-grade fabrics fused together by bitumen and covered with a surfacing to protect from the elements. The material can comprise many felt and fabric types, while the surfacing can be emulsion, asphalt, aggregate gravel or slag, or a cap sheet.
This is one of the oldest and most reliable ways of installing a new roof. First known as composition roofing in the 1840s, they come in two basic types—asphalt and coal tar—and three basic components: waterproofing, reinforcing, and surfacing.
APP Modified Bitumen roof systems consist of a top ply of modified bitumen with an Atactic Polypropylene (APP) base sheet layer. This provides superior tensile strength while maintaining critical flexibility-even in the coldest environments.
SBS Modified Bitumen roofing systems use a different modifier; Styrene Butadiene Styrene (SBS). Its excellent recovery characteristics allow it to be handled in cold temperatures without cracking. There are a wide range of reinforcements used in SBS roofing materials, including fiberglass or polyester mats and scrims, or combinations of both.
Thermoplastic TPO single-ply roofing membranes have broad industry acceptance for performance and installation advantages due to their exceptional resistance to ultraviolet, ozone and chemical exposure. They are great for energy efficient roofing systems.
EPDM provides immediate and long-term roofing solutions for the low-slope commercial roofing industry. With today's emphasis on the sustainable performance of building materials, EPDM continues to be the roofing material that stands the test of time thanks to its high resistance to ozone, weathering and abrasion.
When installed on low- or no-slope roofs, PVC roofing has a long lifespan and comes in a variety different colors and thicknesses. It can be made to fit nearly any flat roof shape, and is a fire safe material.
